The new JV – Toshiba Carrier Air-conditioning India (TCAI) – started production on May 7 at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for VRF and room air conditioners in Gurgaon. Toru Kubo, Global President of Toshiba Carrier Corporation, inaugurated the new facility. India is a strategic market for Toshiba. As its distribution partner, Carrier India is ramping up the Toshiba VRF and RAC business, now that the products are locally manufactured.
