ACREX India 2019: Seminar and Workshops
27 March 2019

The ACREX schedule was packed with concurrent events, as always. There was a full day seminar on ‘HVAC of Tomorrow’ at Sahara Star on February 27 – a day before the start of ACREX. Workshops were organised from February 28 to March 2 on building design, Green concepts, indoor air quality, internet of things and several other topics of interest to HVAC professionals, in which ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturers and other learned speakers shared their knowledge. Voltas was the knowledge partner.

After the lighting of the lamp of knowledge, C. Subramaniam welcomed the audience. He emphasised the need for healthy and energy efficient buildings. While outdoor quality is not within the control of the HVAC engineer, indoor air quality certainly is. Speaking about the knowledge partner, he mentioned that Voltas stands for knowledge dissemination; many engineers present on the occasion had started their careers in the company.

Anil George overviewed Voltas initiatives in the field of energy efficiency, stressing that the company believes in optimising the total cost of ownership of equipment manufactured by it, and supports it during its entire life cycle. Voltas has made considerable investments in setting up manufacturing facilities at Sanand and Vadodara (Gujarat), and Renigunta (Andhra Pradesh).
