12th Edition of ACR TrendZ Held in Pune

ISHRAE Pune Chapter organized its annual national program ACR TrendZ in Pune on November 10-11 at Hotel Sheraton Grande. The theme of the event was Smart Technologies – Create, Enhance & Sustain. The event comprised technical knowledge sharing sessions and a catalogue show. About 350 delegates attended the event. Day one was devoted to refrigeration and cold chain. It was inaugurated by chief guest Bijay Kumar, Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Maharashtra. In his keynote address, he urged the need for better cold chain facilities; setting up cold storage facilities is not enough – what is required is the entire supply chain infrastructure like pack houses, specialized transport and scientific storage and logistics facilities for efficient movement of goods from the point of origin. Distinguished speakers like Harshal Surange,  harang Natu and Sunil Gogate shared their knowledge. The innovation corner generated a lot of interest with presentations by Seepra Bambardekar, Mukund Ranade and Devendra Gupta. This was followed by panel discussions on Evolution of Multi Product Cold Stores into Distribution Centres to Enhance Economic Performance, and Tips for Start-ups in Cold Chain Sector, moderated by Harshal Surange with eminent panellists from the Industry. There were several quiz completions during the event and prizes were distributed to the winners. ISHRAE publications on refrigeration were gifted to lucky draw winners. Day two was focused on air conditioning and IAQ. It was inaugurated by chief guest Umesh Magar, Technical Director of Magarpatta and Nanded cities. He spoke on smart cities, expressing the need for the industry, consultants, suppliers, integrators and architects to come together on a common platform via ISHRAE. Ashish Rakheja, the keynote speaker, delighted the delegates with his presentation on Indoor Environmental Quality: New Benchmark for High Performance Buildings. Distinguished speakers like Abdennacer Achaichia, Nitin Shende and Nitin Deodhar made technical presentations. The innovation corner saw interesting presentations from Anup Nalamwar and Dr. Avinash Kulkarni, followed by a panel discussion on Should HVAC be Included in BMS Platform for High Performance Buildings, moderated by Sandesh Bhure with eminent panellists from the industry. As on Day one, there were quiz competitions and a lucky draw. The program was backed by FSAI, ASHRAE Pune Chapter, RATA, IIAR, Awesome, IGBC, IPA and PMI Pune Deccan. It was supported by Emerson, Bitzer, Havells, Grundfos, Arctic, Savla Food & Cold Storage and Pioneer. The table partners were Bell Cooling Towers, Shravan Joshi Engineering, Parag Marketing Services, Metalex Cryogenics, Uma Industries, Metaflex Doors India, Mayekawa India, Rinac India, Messung Technologies, K-Flex India, Asawa Insulation and Nespal Air Water Heater.
