Workshop on Cleanroom Cleanliness and Filtration Standards

Contamination Control Society of India (CCSI) – a member of International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS), supported by ISHRAE and ASHRAE, conducted a seminar in Mumbai on January 21, 2017. It was the first seminar anywhere in the world to train cleanroom professionals on the proposed changes to ISO 14644-3 and EU GMP Annex 1 on Manufacture of Sterile Medical Products. The faculty comprised Sheesh Gulati, Sant Advani and Gautham Baliga. About 95 delegates attended. Working demos of various Cleanroom equipment were given by the table-top exhibitors. In addition, the topics covered in the seminar were: Implementing Changes to Cleanroom Standards ISO 14644- 1&2: 2015; Filtration Standard ISO 16890-1:2016 and ISO 29463-1; How to Avoid FDA 483s in Cleanroom Pressure Differentials; Recommended Best Practices Related to Air Filtration in Cleanrooms, and HVAC Duct Leakage Testing: Pinpointing Leaks with Smoke Machines. CCSI will hold a Cleanroom Certification Course in Hotel Marigold by Green Park, Begumpet, Hyderabad on May 5 and 6.
