The spacious combined training and demonstration area offers contractors, engineers and project managers the opportunity to learn about the latest pipe joining technologies with a fully hands on approach. Visitors can experience the diff erent potential stages in piping system assembly including prefabrication, use of pipe grooving tools, assembly of couplings as well as use of press-fit systems, through to pressurisation and proper testing of their work. They can also learn about disassembly and retrofits, and examine fully functional fire protection systems, including devices, pumps, piping, couplings and fl exible drops, in action in a controlled environment. The Piping Innovation Zone will play a role in training customers and also act as a venue for open seminars for engineering consultants and mechanical contractors keen to learn about developments in piping technology.
