Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, has launched portable cold cube containers for adaptable cooling and freezing. They are designed for transport refrigeration, and will be available in 6 options with
capacities of 140L, 330L and 915L. This last mile distribution solution can be used in multiple vehicles as per need. The lightweight and durable containers can be loaded relatively quickly into a standard van or truck, and are powered by the vehicle battery. Once unloaded, the containers can be plugged into AC power supply on a standard wall outlet. Cold cube containers are made from molded polyethylene and food-grade materials, and offer convenient portability with integrated handles and transport accessory kits. They can be used for transportation of dairy, ice cream and
confectioneries; vaccines, blood plasma, etc.; and by caterers and event organizers for use during events. They have cooling (20°C to 0°C) and freezing options (20°C to -21°C). They can run on 12/24V DC or 110/240V AC, and are equipped with a digital controller. They incorporate a visible user interface
to view current temperature and status without opening the container, and a digital readout for precise temperature set point control.
