Testo has launched an air capture hood for larger air intakes and outlets, with low weight and high precision. The Testo 420 is easy to handle, and an app integration results in increased effi ciency. This extends the company’s range of ventilation and air conditioning measuring instruments in the field of portable measurement technology. Testo 420 has a weight of less than 2.9 kg. Especially at swirl outlets, the flow straightener in the hood significantly reduces measurement errors. The ergonomic handles facilitate easy handling. Funnel-shaped tension rod sockets support easy and quick set-up. Once compactly collapsed, the air capture hood can be easily and safely transported in the trolley included in delivery. For a comfortable readout, the measuring instrument can be tilted and removed. Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets can be used as a second display and remote control via Bluetooth app integration. This makes using a tripod for high ceilings, for example, safe and comfortable. Users can send the measurement report via e-mail. The hood also records the ambient climate using an integrated temperature and humidity sensor and an absolute pressure sensor.
