Testo has introduced four new thermal imagers: testo 865, testo 868, testo 871 and testo 872. These models have resolutions of up to 320x240 pixels, which can be increased on a PC to 640x480 pixels with the testo Super Resolution technology included as standard. Other than the entry level model testo 865, all these imagers can be connected to the testo Thermography App available for iOS and Android, which turns the user’s smartphone into a second display and a remote control for the imager, and can create compact reports on-site to be saved online and e-mailed. The models testo 871 and testo 872 can also be connected wirelessly to the thermohygrometer testo 605i and the clamp probe testo 770-3. This allows fast and clear identification of the exact site at which thermography is to be done in any given climatic condition, and the load at which a switching cabinet is running. The testo ε-Assist reduces the time taken for emissivity and reflected temperature settings and improves the accuracy of the latter. The newly developed testo Scale Assist function adjusts the colour distribution of the scale to the interior and exterior temperature of the measurement object and the difference between them, to ensure objectively comparable and error-free thermal images. The new thermal imagers are now available directly from Testo and its expert
channel partners. These thermal imagers were introduced during the launch of Testo Fiesta – Season 2 of Testo Precision Drive – an exhibition on wheels equipped with the company’s entire product range to give a hands-on experience to customers at their doorstep. Last year, it covered southern and northern India. Season 2 was launched on December 15 at JW Marriott, Pune by Kalidas Bhangare, Managing Director of Testo.
