Established in 1962 as Crystal Group, the company is now known as Crystal Logistic Cool Chain Limited (CLCC). It is a leading cold chain logistics company in the country, providing a full range of temperature controlled supply chain solutions and present in every segment of the industry. In addition to its headquarters in Goregaon (East) in Mumbai, the company has offices in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Siliguri, Bhopal, Pune and Indore. Crystal’s large range of solutions includes temperature controlled distribution services comprising primary and secondary distribution, temperature controlled warehousing, third party logistics services, portable cold storage solutions, express delivery service, part load services and project cargo logistics. The new warehouse at Kolkata – about 22km from the city centre – can accommodate over 12000 pallets. There is a racking system for storage, suitable for both Euro and industrial pallets. All the storage chambers can provide a temperature range of +25 to -25°C. Temperature tracking using state of the art GPS tracking and data loggers can be done from the customer’s office.
Crystal Titan Container – Portable Cold Storage: For its portable cold storage solutions business, CLCC has partnered with Titan Containers A/S, one of the premier European domestic rental companies with its international container business present all over the world. Operating for more than 25 years, Titan has 10 offices in Europe, partnerships in South America and business partners throughout the world. An environmentally responsible company, Titan had phased out R12 in 1994 – before it was mandated by legislation. Almost the entire fleet of refrigerated rental containers and cold stores of Titan feature newer technology machines, which offer up to 75% power savings when compared to older refrigerated containers. The standard operating range in the containers is -40 to +30°C. Specific ultra cold models are available at -60°C, and heater stores at +60°C. Primarily for transport, both 20’ and 40’ (hi cube) refrigerated containers are available. Most of these have traditional T-section floors (some have flat aluminum floors), stainless steel interiors, standard container doors and marine refrigeration plants. The newer equipment includes automatic constant data loggers and have set points from -40°C to +30°C. Nose mounted, clip-on, diesel powered generator sets are also available. They are in sizes of 10’, 20’ and 40’ – all with valid CSC plates where required. They are suitable for domestic rail, road and sea transport as well as for international applications. Titan containers are available in three models: Arctic Store, Arctic Superstore and DNV Containers. All three types are available for hire or sale as new containers with DNV certification. Other DNV container products like pipe carriers, skips, accommodation containers and baskets are also available.
