NCCD to Promote Renewable Energy in Cold Chain Sector

National Centre for Cold Chain Development (NCCD) has formed a committee for promotion of Sustainable Technology and Renewable Energy in
the cold chain sector. Arvind Surange, a renowned Cold Chain Consultant and CMD, ACR Project Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Pune has been appointed the Co-chair of the committee. Pawanexh Kohli, CEO of NCCD is the Chairman. The Committee would have experts from the cold chain and energy sectors and would actively promote sustainable technology and renewable energy in the cold chain sector in India. NCCD, formed under the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Government of India promotes the development of integrated cold chain in India. The main objectives of the centre are to recommend standards and protocols for cold chain infrastructure, suggest guidelines for human resource development and to recommend an appropriate policy framework for the development of cold chain.
