RCS has been awarded a contract for air cooling by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. for their Tractor Manufacturing Facility at Nagpur, Maharashtra. M&M’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES) is a part of the Rs.92,000 cr Mahindra Group. It has achieved the distinction of being the largest tractor company in the world with sales in more than 40 countries. The project involves installation of an air cooling system having a capacity of 476,000 cmh, at a total investment of approximately Rs.14 cr. RCS is a leading provider of air washer and pressurization solutions. It offers air washers with cellulose paper pads, cross sectional fluid media capable of absorbing and retaining water to provide high cooling efficiencies. In addition to providing the system for a new state-of-art paint shop being installed by a German Company, air cooling systems are also being installed to upgrade the existing systems in Tractor Shop. The project was awarded to RCS against stiff competition from leading HVAC companies. Other than weekly shut-downs, this manufacturing facility operates round the clock on a three shift basis. This offers RCS the challenge to engineer the system in the existing operating areas with all the constraints of installed utility systems, and to manage the site for maximizing site activity during weekends and holidays, as work inside production sheds is not permitted during the week.
