Ingersoll Rand Celebrates Anniversary of its Global Climate Commitment
16 February 2017

In the second year of its global Climate Commitment, Ingersoll Rand continues to significantly reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of its products and operations. Since announcing the commitment in 2014, it has led to the avoidance of approximately 2 million metric tons of CO2e globally. As part of the Climate Commitment, Ingersoll Rand launched EcoWise™, a portfolio of products designed to lower environmental impact with next generation, low GWP refrigerants and high-efficiency operation. The company has introduced six products under the EcoWise label, including the Series R RTWD chiller launched in November – used for commercial buildings and industrial applications. Other successful commitment-led initiatives include the design and implementation of a proprietary tool to measure emission reductions against GHG-related targets across its product portfolio and employee-led programs to identify facility upgrades and integrate sustainability modules within the product design process.
