International Copper Association India organized India Copper Forum 2015 on November 25 at Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. The event was supported by Hindalco Industries and Vedanta Ltd. Sanjeev Ranjan (MD, International Copper Association India) welcomed the delegates. Dr. Ajit Ranade (President & Chief Economist, Hindalco Industries) was the keynote speaker. The Guest of Honour was Ravi Kapoor (Joint Secretary, Ministry of
Commerce & Industry, Government of India), and Balvender Kumar (Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India) was the Chief Guest. Special addresses were delivered by P. Ramnathan (CEO, Vedanta Copper Division), J.C. Laddha (Group Executive President, Hindalco Copper Division) and K.D. Diwan (CMD, Hindustan Copper). New Technology Recognition Awards were presented to Spirotech Heat Exchangers Pvt. Ltd. and Kitra Industries for innovative commercial use of copper. There were interactive panel discussions on Copper Scenario, Wires and Cables Industry, and Copper Tubes and Strips Industry. Panel members, who are prominent industry figures, fielded questions from the delegates. More than 100 delegates attended the event.
