Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) has released the first ever Indian standard on IEQ, ISHRAE Standard 10001: 2016 – Indoor Environmental Quality Standard. It has been prepared by a committee comprising leading experts from India and international experts who have experience of working in India. The committee was chaired by Ashish Rakheja and co-chaired by Dr. Jyotirmoy Mathur and V. Manjunath. The Standard includes threshold values of IEQ parameters, measurement, instrument specifications, occupant satisfaction survey, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, lighting comfort and acoustic comfort.
