The cold chain industry is growing fast in India, due to the realization that saving produce from spoilage through better storage and transportation would cost less than increasing food production to feed the burgeoning millions. The cold chain industry is getting integrated with the supply chain industry comprising of refrigerated storage and transportation. It is expected to grow at a high clip in the medium term – 19% CAGR during the period 2017-22. ISHRAE and NürnbergMesse India have joined hands to announce an annual expo, REFCOLD India, to cover all sections of the refrigeration and cold chain industry and bring all stakeholders together under one roof. The first expo has been planned from November 22 to 24, 2018 at Mahatma Mandir Convention cum Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar (Gujarat ) . ISHRAE will be the oganiser, while NürnbergMesse will be the event producer.
