Daikin Plans Second Manufacturing Unit
07 September 2015

Daikin Airconditioning India, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese air conditioning major Daikin Industries Ltd., is planning to set up its second manufacturing unit in the country. “Our exiting unit at Neemrana in Rajasthan has already reached about 85% utilization of its 500,000 units per annum capacity, and now we are looking at doubling the capacity. We can expand in the same state or set up a new manufacturing facility with a capacity of 500,000 units per annum somewhere else. We are in advanced stage of talks with certain state government, and a decision will be taken within a few months,” Daikin Airconditioning India managing director Kanwal Jeet Jawa said on the occasion of the launch of Daikin’s two exclusive Solution Plazas in Hyderabad. The company has around 200 Solution Plazas, and plans to take them to 350 by the end of this financial year. The dealer network is being increased from 2,600 to 3,500 by the end of this fiscal.
