The Energy & Environment Panel of the CII Chennai Zone organized a workshop on Energy Efficiency on October 14 at the headquarters of Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. at Chennai. Grundfos India’s headquarters being a LEED EB Platinum certified green building, the workshop was followed by a presentation and tour of the company’s building and factory. The tour gave the participants a first-hand insight of how energy efficiency and green practices can be implemented, and their benefits. The objective of the workshop was to help participating companies perceive energy efficiency strategically and align it to their business objectives. It familiarized companies with a robust energy efficiency life cycle, giving them an understanding and check-list of the deliverables. It enabled the participants to assess their current activities and evaluate the outcomes of their energy investments.
