Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Airconditioning and Heating (AIRAH) represents over 10,000 professionals across Australia. Now in its third year, AIRAH’s The Future of HVAC Conference 2015 will be held on August 18-19, 2015 at ZINC in Melbourne’s Federation Square. It will explore industry research, state-of-the-art technology, education, and future design conditions. Prospective speakers are welcome to submit abstracts for consideration by the conference committee. For those interested in speaking at the conference, there are two different formats available. Alongside the traditional full-length technical presentations, this year’s conference will feature a number of ‘short-burst’ sessions – brief presentations of between three to five minutes, which do not require an accompanying technical paper.
The Conference Committee is calling for 200–300 word abstracts. Session themes include:
• State-of-the-art HVAC&R practice
• The HVAC&R industry in 20 years’ time
• Novel applications of HVAC&R
• Future design conditions
• Education and engagement – including collaboration with other industries, BIM and design, training and education, engaging young engineers, up-skilling staff
