ACREX Hall of Fame
28 October 2016

A new initiative was launched during ACREX 2016 in Mumbai on February 26, 2016. ACREX Hall of Fame is an industry benchmark instituted by ISHRAE in partnership
with Danfoss India to recognize the excellence achieved in  conserving energy by building projects in India. The coveted recognition aims to showcase success stories and encourage innovation in technology, design and systems to achieve the highest standards of energy effi cient HVAC systems in buildings. The maiden inductee to the ACREX Hall of Fame was Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Terminal 2, Mumbai. The second edition of the event will take place during ACREX 2017 in Delhi NCR from February 23 to 25, 2017. Nominations are invited for eligible building projects that fulfi ll the following eligibility criteria:
• Smart/intelligent commercial or institutional building – naturally or mechanically-ventilated, fully air-conditioned or a combination.
• Must have been commissioned on or after January 1, 2013 and operational for a minimum period of one year.
• Fully functional BMS and minimum one year’s recent (up to June 30, 2016) operational data to be available on a dashboard.
• Retrofitted and recommissioned buildings will also be eligible.

Performance parameters of interest are Energy Performance Index (EPI), IEQ intervention, full compliance with relevant codes/standards as a minimum. The building owner should be informed of the nomination and should be willing to share building data. Owner’s authorised person’s contact details are required. Description of some iconic characteristics of the building, e.g. innovation in technology, systems and design, indoor environment and eco-friendliness that make the building stand apart, would bolster the nomination. To nominate a building, please download the template from http://www.ishraehq.in/Content/UploadFiles/xshc2xzf2th.xlsx and send the completed template to halloff ame@ishraehq.in before October 15, 2016.

The initial scrutiny and shortlisting will be done by ISHRAE Technical Committee, and the final selection will be done by a Jury consisting of eminent personalities in the fields of HVAC, Government, Architecture and the Building Industry. An ISHRAE member sending the nomination that is selected will be invited to attend ACREX 2017 and the ACREX Hall of Fame Evening, and his/her travel and hospitality expenses will be borne by ISHRAE. In case more than one nomination is received for the same building, the nomination received first will qualify for this. Meanwhile, Danfoss India has launched roadshows to create awareness about the need for energy efficiency and sensitise industries to adopt energy effi cient practices. The roadshows are planned across 7 cities in a bid to identify and recognise the country’s most efficient commercial building and educate architects, consultants and engineers on the need for energy efficient interventions in commercial buildings. The roadshows are also aimed at increasing
participation in the Hall of Fame 2017.
