AAR Holds ARCON 2016 at Chennai

Associationof Ammonia Refrigeration organised its third annual convention, ARCON 2016, at Hotel Green Park, Chennai on February 5. It consisted of an international exposition and a seminar on the Indian refrigeration industry. Evapco, Frick India, Guntner, Kirloskar Pneumatic, Mayekawa, Kelvion, Frigsales and Saarthak Refrigeration were the event partners. The theme of the seminar was Safety, Sustainability and Efficiency in Ammonia Refrigeration Systems. Haresh Rupchandani (President, AAR) delivered the welcome address. An O&M Manual prepared by AAR was launched and distributed to all the delegates. Chief Guest A. Duraiswamy (Director, Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change) delivered the keynote address. Another keynote address was delivered by Dr. Sukumar Devotta (Former Director, NEERI, Nagpur). The speakers in the seminar were H. Egashira and Takeo Fujimoto (Mayekawa), and P. Sudhirkumar (Frick India). Product presentations were made by Evaopco, Kirloskar Pneumatic, Mayekawa, Guntner and Frick India. The event included two panel discussions. The first, on Advantage Ammonia, was moderated by Haresh Rupchandani. The panelists were Dr. Anshu Kumar, Nikhil Raj, Anish Simha and Ramesh Mysore. The second panel discussion was on Making your Refrigeration Plant Safe. It was moderated by Anil Gulanikar. The panelists were Sanjay Ethape (Director, DCE Refrigeration), Sharad Patil (Food Experts Consultants), Yuwraj (Danfoss) and H. Egashira (Mayekawa).
