The Standards Committee is a standing committee of the Society. It is responsible for submittal to the ISHRAE Board of Governors of all the standards written in mandatory, enforceable language, and other standards, guidelines, Position papers and addenda in the fields of heating, refrigerating, air conditioning, and ventilating engineering, including all revisions, reaffirmations or withdrawals thereof, to be considered for approval. It cooperates with and supervises the Society’s participation in other organizations in the development, preparation, and adoption of standards and guidelines.

ISHRAE Standard Committee appoints standing subcommittees of the Standards Committee as per the request received from Board of Governors/Industry/domain experts/Individuals/Associate Societies for standard development.
